Founder's story

From the other side of the pile.

I didn't set out to build recruitment software. I set out to find my next role, and ended up as applicant number four hundred and something on job after job. CVR came out of what I learned staring at that problem from the inside.

10 years in digital transformation Enterprise-scale programmes IT & technology consultant Automation & AI Built CVR end to end

For a decade I led digital transformation programmes for multi-billion-pound companies. The kind of work where one project touches thousands of people and millions in budget.

Then my most recent contract wrapped up, and for the first time in years I was the one applying for roles. The market had changed. Role after role showed 500+ applicants before I'd even finished reading the description. I was qualified, experienced, and completely invisible. One CV in a pile no human could realistically read.

Where the Ranker began
I started talking to recruiters directly. The story was the same from every one of them.

With unemployment high, people are applying for everything, dozens of roles they're not suited for, and it muddies the water for everyone. Qualified candidates can't get seen. And recruiters are drowning, sieving hundreds of CVs by hand to find the handful worth a call. That's where the Ranker was born: a way to score a pile of CVs against a job description in seconds, so the right people surface and recruiters get their evenings back.

I took the Ranker to recruitment firms on sales calls, and it landed. But those same conversations surfaced a second, quieter problem, one every firm mentioned once we got talking.

Where the Rebrander began
Once a firm picks a candidate, reformatting their CV into the firm's own branded template is slow, fiddly work.

The tools that exist for it produce inconsistent output through clunky, unfriendly interfaces. I knew I wanted CVR to be a one-stop shop, not a one-trick tool, so I started building the Rebrander: a candidate's CV, restructured and rebranded in your firm's format, ready for the client in thirty seconds.

Today

I'm thrilled to be able to offer both. The Ranker to cut through the noise. The Rebrander to send candidates to clients looking their best. Two independent tools, built by someone who's been on both sides of the hiring line.

If CVR helps one qualified person get seen and get hired who'd otherwise have been lost in a pile of five hundred, it's done its job.
